About Me
Hello, I’m Lynsey
As a parent, seeing your child struggle with their mental health can feel overwhelming. You want to help, but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start. That’s where I can help.
I’m a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), EMDR Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse, with over 20 years’ experience supporting children and young people.
I specialise in working with children and teenagers, helping them make sense of their thoughts and feelings, overcome challenges and develop the confidence and coping skills they need to thrive. I’m also trained in specialist EMDR therapy for children and young people, supporting them to process difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive way.
Alongside my private practice, I work within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), bringing a wealth of clinical experience to the support I offer.
At The Therapy Corner, my aim is to help children and young people feel heard, understood and supported — while giving families the knowledge and confidence to help them along the way.
Every child is different, and therapy should reflect that. I offer a compassionate, individualised approach, working at your child’s pace to help them feel safe, build resilience and move towards a brighter future.
